CORU has recently opened a public consultation on the Framework Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics in furtherance of its role in protecting the public by promoting high standards of professional conduct, professional education, training and competence amongst the professions it regulates. Through the consultation process, CORU has sought the views of the public, the professions, representative bodies and other interested parties on the draft Framework Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics 2017, which is to succeed the previous code. The Framework Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics was first developed in 2010, detailing common standards across CORU’s regulated professions. It was reviewed and updated in 2013 and a further review and update is now being undertaken due to changes in legislation and policy. Participation in the framework development can be effected either in a personal capacity or on behalf of an organisation. Views can be submitted here in a number of different ways. The consultation process will close at 1pm on Friday 15 September 2017. Authors:
