Fieldfisher's Dispute Resolution team is delighted to have been shortlisted for 'Litigation Team of the Year' at The Lawyer Awards 2021.
The nomination reflects the team's role in a complex, multi-jurisdictional, multi-language case relating to the claims brought by Russian oil giant Tatneft against Mr Kolomoisky and his associates and fellow defendants Gennady Bogolyubov, Alexander Yaroslavsky and Pavel Ovcharenko. The trial took place over 41 days in October to December 2020. Due to COVID restrictions on social distancing and travel, the proceedings were held remotely with all participants connecting via video link. This was the longest completely remote trial to have been heard by the Commercial Court.
The Fieldfisher team was led by partners Andrew Lafferty and Arik Aslanyan, together with a core team comprising disputes partner James Lewis, corporate partner Mikhail Basisty, intellectual property partner David Knight, disputes directors Julia Dodds and Yuliya Kupchenko, senior associates Sergey Okoev and Natalya Zarakhovtich, and associate Galina Borshevskaya.
