As a firm we are committed to empowering the next generation of talent and creating new pathways to exciting opportunities in our industry – and in today's competitive market, apprenticeships have proven to be a powerful gateway to full-time employment.

We are proud to share the news that 80% of our apprentices that joined our Apprenticeship Career Excellence (ACE) Programme in 2022 have now successfully transitioned into full-time roles. This is a fantastic result that underscores the value and effectiveness of the Programme.

The ACE Programme is an earn-while-you-learn apprenticeship with opportunities in Secretarial Services, IT, HR, Finance, Marketing, Risk and Document Production and Practice Administration with the chance to gain a professional qualification alongside theoretical training and practical experience. It's a great opportunity for curious, ambitious, and driven individuals to leap into the world of professional services.

Why 80% success rate?

Several factors have contributed to the impressive statistic that 80% of our apprentices on our current ACE Programme have secured full-time positions:

  1. Tailored training programs: Our apprenticeship programs are designed in collaboration with industry experts to ensure that the training provided is aligned with current market needs. This alignment ensures that apprentices are not only learning relevant skills but also gaining insight into industry trends and demands.
  2. Mentorship and support: Throughout their apprenticeship journey, participants are paired with experienced mentors who guide them, offering advice and support. This mentorship is crucial in helping apprentices navigate the complexities of their roles and develop a deeper understanding of their industry.
  3. Real-world experience: The ACE Programme blends theoretical learning with practical experience, allowing participants to apply their learning in real-world scenarios. This approach not only equips our apprentices with the technical skills required for their professions but also hones their soft skills, such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.
  4. Genuine career progression: A key component of our ACE Programme is its focus on genuine career progression, providing apprentices with clear and structured pathways for growth within their chosen fields. Ellie Williamson, ACE Programme Lead, exemplifies this success story. She started her career at Fieldfisher as an apprentice and has risen through the ranks, inspiring others with her journey.
  5. Strong industry connections: Our organisation has fostered strong relationships with various companies and industry leaders, which opens doors for apprentices.
  6. Commitment to growth: We encourage a culture of continuous learning and development, empowering apprentices to seek opportunities for growth within their chosen areas. This mindset not only benefits the apprentices but also Fieldfisher, as they bring a proactive and motivated attitude to their roles.

Success stories

The success of our apprentices can be seen in the diverse range of industries and roles they have transitioned into. From Risk to Marketing, our apprentices have made significant contributions to their respective fields. These success stories are a testament to the effectiveness of our apprenticeship programs and the dedication of the people who undertake them.

Huge congratulations to all our apprentices who have secured full-time roles; we are proud of our apprentices' achievements and look forward to continuing to support the next generation of skilled professionals.

What's next for the ACE Programme?

For the third consecutive year, we will welcome a brand-new cohort of 9 apprentices onto our ACE Programme in September in roles across IT, HR, Legal Support Services, Secretarial Services and Finance.

As the job market continues to evolve and the demand for skilled professionals remains high, apprenticeships provide a viable solution to bridging the skills gap. Our commitment to delivering high-quality apprenticeship programmes will continue as we empower our next generation and equip them with the skills needed to succeed in their careers.
