Before joining Fieldfisher I was the International Tax Director of one of the top ten accounting networks. This global role involved assessing and enhancing the international tax client service delivery capabilities of the member firms. This included monitoring firm growth and the content of training programs, evaluating member firm compliance with common tax practice standards and supervising tax practice inspection programs.
From 1993 to 2002 I was the Managing Partner of a “Big Four” accountancy firm’s practice areas in Italy for corporate finance, tax, legal and outsourcing, growing the practices from 40 people in 8 offices to 1,200 people in 20 offices and twice the size of the second player.
I am a member of the Investment Committee of Antares Private Equity and a member of the supervisory board of Rolex Italia, Barclays Infrastructure Fund, Eiser Infrastructure, Hera Group, and others, and I am a Councilor of the British Chamber of Commerce for Italy.
In September 2014 I was appointed CEO of Airport Handling, the company that manages the two airports of Milan, employing over 2,000 people.
I am a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a Registered Italian Auditor licensed to practice by Consob (the Italian Stock Exchange regulatory authority).
My mother tongue is English but, having worked in Italy for over 40 years, I am fluent in Italian.
