My expertise lies in international trade, public procurement, and competition law. On international trade law, I focus on trade remedies, as well as sanctions and export control.  I have also assisted both EU and non-EU operators with their obligations under the CBAM Regulations.

I have advised central government departments, local authorities, utilities, and various private sector entities on both contentious and non-contentious public procurement matters across a range of sectors, including energy and utilities, transport, defence, technology, and healthcare. I also have experience advising on a range of competition law issues, including merger control, abuse of dominance, and State aid.

I hold a joint master's degree in European Politics and Law (merit) and have practical experience of working at both the European Parliament and the Scottish Parliament.  I had the unique opportunity of working at the European Parliament in Brussels during the UK's EU Referendum, and now advise on Brexit-related issues.  As part of my LL.B (Honours) law degree, I undertook an Erasmus Exchange to the University of Antwerp, Belgium.

Externally, I am an active member of the Procurement Lawyers' Association, and I am an appointed member of the Trade Policy Working Group, Competition Law Committee, and Post-Brexit Working Group of the Law Society of Scotland.

I am a member of the Brussels bar since 2020
