I was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales in 2002, and have practiced in Immigration law ever since.  My practice also incorporates wider aspects of Public and Human Rights law, and therefore I have advised individuals, corporations and government departments on all aspects of this ever-changing field.  I am a practising barrister and therefore regularly represent clients at all stages of the appellate and judicial review processes.  I am ranked in both Chambers & Partners and Legal 500.

I specialise in resolving complex matters, having spent many years advising on and challenging decisions that have gone wrong. I pride myself on being alive to potential difficulties ahead of time and believe firmly in giving practical, honest advice to clients.

I regularly teach solicitors and immigration advisors, both in-house and through HJT Training, ILPA and Lexis Nexis.  I am the author of 'Practical Guide to Refugee Resettlement in the United Kingdom' (Law Brief Publishing, 2022) and a contributing author to various other publications, including HJT Training ‘Mastering Immigration Law’ published regularly by HJT Training, and Lexis Nexis Practice notes.

I hold a LLM in International Human Rights Law, and I speak French and Spanish to a high level.

I am a keen hockey player and coach, and founder of Wapping Kidds Hockey Club.
